Teen Resources...

Following are some excellent sites for teens with cancer. Simply click on the highlighted text to follow a specific link. All organizations and their programs can be viewed on a separate browser window. If you have any helpful suggestions for teen websites, please submit it to: admin@chemoangels.com. Thank you!

2bMe
Great site, especially for teenagers between thirteen and sixteen. It has
lots of helpful tips on hair loss, wigs, skin care and appearance.

4YOUth
ListServ for young survivors (12-21). The membership also contains young
people currently in treatment. It is a small group at the moment but very 'chatty'.

Cancer Source Kids
In partnership with the Association of Pediatric Oncology Nurses (APON), the mission of Cancer Source Kids is to be a secure site where children can
learn about cancer in a fun and interactive manner.

Dave's Happy Little Hodgkin's Website
This site is very informative, and is funny too! It was written by a
teenager with Hodgkin's who's been through chemo, radiotherapy and stem cell
rescue.

For Teens Only
From the Memorial Sloan Kettering Pediatric Oncology page.

KIDSAID
This site hopes to give support to kids for any of their difficult issues
and is open to kids up to age 20. It's 2 Kids, 4 Kids, By Kids!

Kids Kicking Cancer
Established in 1993 by a group of dedicated healthcare professionals, cancer
survivors, and community volunteers who care for children diagnosed with
cancer and lend much needed support to their families.

Teenage Cancer Patients Learn to Look Good
Life is difficult for teenagers with cancer. And then they lose their hair.
A program designed to help these patients cope with medications that affect
their appearance promises to make them "look good and feel better."

Teencancer.Org
Teenage Cancer Trust is dedicated to improving the environment of the
teenage cancer sufferer, and their families.

Teen Network
From Childhood Cancer Foundation Canada.

Teens Living With Cancer   - This website offers teens with cancer, as well as their family and friends, an array of resources and information, as well as opportunities to interact securely with others.

The Dreamsurfer Network
  -  A secure, counselor-monitored online support and education program for teenage patients with life-threatening illnesses.
