For Senior AngelsIf you would like to postally encourage an elderly person through chatty letters, friendly cards, uplifting notes, and an occasional small gift, we encourage you to sign up as a Senior Angel. Be aware... you are committing to someone who may come to rely on you. It is vitally important that you are 100% dedicated and able to follow through with this gift of love. This means sending your senior buddy at least one item a week. Being a Senior Angel is a long-term commitment. If you truly feel that you can follow through with this commitment, please click here...

I recently saw an article
in People Magazine about ChemoAngels. I went to the website
and after reading about it saw a link to SeniorAngels. I
signed my 87 year old Mother up. I can’t tell you how much my
Mother appreciates hearing from her Angel! She lives with my
younger sister and is pretty much home bound, due to a magnitude of
health problems. Shortly after I signed her up she got a card
from her angel. Then last week another card and a letter came.
Today she asked if the mail had come and her sitter said “why do you
ask?" Mother replied…”well, I thought I might hear
something from my Angel”. How sweet is that!! My sister
called tonight to thank me for signing Mother up. It’s amazing
how something as simple as a card can mean so much. I want to
thank your organization and my Mom’s Angel for putting a little ray of
sunshine in my Mom’s eyes!!
Anna
Greetings! I first read about ChemoAngels in “People” magazine (July 2004). I made the attempt to become an “Angel”, and was absolutely thrilled when I was accepted into the program in the Summer of 2005. I was blessed with the opportunity be a “Card Angel” for a lovely man for a few months and am now a “Senior Angel” for two dear women. My father has also been blessed by this organization by “Special Assignment Angels” and his own dear “Chemo Angel” and “Card Angel.” When my sweet Mom, Lena, passed away suddenly (and unexpectedly) on January 25, 2006, I was devastated. My Mom and I were VERY close. The condolence cards and notes I have received from the “Angels” have touched my heart and soul. I will be forever grateful for the compassionate “Angels” who have been so kind to me (and my father) during these sad days. Thank you, Angels! May God richly bless each and every one of you! Sincerely, Deborah |
